I got the trophy for the Gold Coast 10km today. Its worth the wait.
And with it I got a career highlight, getting onto the record book with my mate (the Robot) Peter Reeves.
As well as the legend Ronnie and someone called Moneghetti.

World Master's News
said...
Pan Pac organisers have announced a stunning coup today saying that expatriate Scotsman and world renown Masters's running machine , David McSweeney , is close to signing for this year's games on the Gold Coast . McSweeney, better known to the sporting public as the international face of Garmin , said he was excited at the prospect of running against Athletes from the broader Pacific rim and has reminded everyone to consider that the Pacific is not your average Loch but big . " It's in fact the biggest ocean there is ," he is reported as saying . " What I love about the concept of these games is it gives me a chance not only to excel and break records but to mix socially with my adoring fans from across the Pacific rim. Organisers are keen that I entertain the public in the Games entertainment village and what better opputunity for me to practice my bagpipe playing ?" When asked about competition, the extroverted world traveller displayed his diplomatic credentials saying that while the Southern Hemishere held no surprises he was cautiously optimistic that rumours of stiffer competition from the Northern Hemisphere were nothing more than mischievous nonsense perpetrated by Trolls who had been plaguing his blog of late . When asked if he expected close friend Coach Dion to attend the Games , McSweeney pointed out that big as the Pacific was it did not lap the shores of Africa nor his native Scotland . As he bluntly yet eloquently put it in that thick and rich Scottish brogue of his ," The Pacific is (expletive deleted) big but not that wee big !"
