Dave, Your Garmin data is consistent with my view that Garmin’s badly struggle to measure distances (and hence speed) accurately on a track. Even going around people, I’m sure you didn’t cover 3,110m. It seems to always be long in track distance measurements. For that reason, I never use it for that purpose, only timing and HR. I just use the track distance measurements.
