Deckard: [narrating] I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
I started running at age 11 in 1972, I continued till I was 20 years old and gave it away! I came back to running a couple of times in my mid 20's and again in my late 20's. There was a long hiatus competitively from age 30 till I was aged 44 when I 'saw the light' again!
This is my journey through life, family, work, training, racing and injuries in the pursuit of Running Masters. My motivation is to be competitive and to enjoy!
