Jim Beisty - Reflections of a Runner

Jim recently left some comments on a post and I asked him what his story was and he sent me a booklet he'd published in 1985 detailing his running career from the 1950's. A fascinating account of one guys running career from its inception in Merseyside in the UK through Canada to Newcastle Australia. His early inspiration was Emil Zatopek. Jim preferred the Marathon but ran all distances road track and cross country. He details the early days of Masters - then Veterans running in Australia where he raced against such
legends as Dave Power and Tom Roberts. He even raced against Geoff Moore from ACT who is still running today. In later years Jim put his talents and experience into coaching many NSW State Champions. This is a book that you all would enjoy and Jim you should look into publishing it on Google, thanks for sending me a copy.
