Shock waves of seismic proportions reverberated around the park running world this morning when the man , soon to immortalised with a bronze statue at North lakes , none other than the Garmin Lama himself set a stunning time of sublime dimensions . Where words fail to do justice to the performance only numbers can suffice . 15:53 . Four numbers that even whispered have sent a chill down the spines of pretenders game enough to line up in the forthcoming Gold Coast age graded 10k championship of the known and unknown universe . The mood of the field was best summed up by Craig Mottram who upon hearing the time simply said , " why (expletive deleted) even bother running . The guy's a freak !"

Shock waves were still reverberating around the globe as the epoch divining performance of David McSweney filtered through to the fatherest reaches of the civilised and uncivilised world . When asked to comment on his global leading performance it was apparent that the man , known as the GTrain , was suffering from debilitating mouth ulcers caused from ingesting low octane alcohol in his trademark flaming bagpipes routine and is believed to be now incapable of speech . Apparently he can ingest only fluids through a straw which has seen him reduced to little more than a living skeleton but with a now frightening power to weight ratio when matched as a consequence to a heart of Pharlap proportions . This inability to converse did not stop persistent reporters from proding and asking if the Scotsman would simply nod if his performance today was prompted by the persistent vitriol critizing his well intentioned efforts at raising the profile of the little publlized sport of Duathlon . Rather than nodding the man , known as the Garmin Lama in Katmandu , simply gave a one fingered salute directed forcefully in the direction of his detractors and leaving no one in any doubt as to his resolve to press home his salute at next month's world age graded extravaganza at the Gold Coast 10k for which he is now clearly top seed and race favourite.
